The Antelco 40945 Adaptor connects standard 4mm micro irrigation tubing to compatible 10-32 UNF threaded irrigation components. Manufactured in Australia from UV-stabilised engineering plastic, it provides a reliable, long-lasting connection for low-pressure irrigation systems in gardens, landscaping and greenhouse applications. Alternative Installation Method
Although primarily intended for connecting 4mm micro tube to compatible 10-32 UNF threaded irrigation components, experienced irrigation installers also commonly use this adaptor to create a 4mm off-take directly from LDPE supply pipe.
After making a pilot hole using a suitable irrigation hole punch, the threaded end can be screwed into the pipe to provide a secure connection for standard 4mm micro irrigation tubing.
Please Note:
This installation method provides a secure connection for low-pressure irrigation systems but is not intended to create a completely leak-free seal.
A small amount of seepage around the threaded connection is normal and is generally of no consequence in garden beds or planted areas.
Where the connection is located above patios, paving, decking or other finished surfaces, we recommend using a 13mm × 4mm reducing tee instead, as it is purpose-designed for creating 4mm branch connections from LDPE pipe.
